Vieja Cichlids (Central American Cichlids)
Farm-raised Vieja cichlids from our Florida aquaculture facility, grown for health, size, and long-term success in large aquariums.
Vieja cichlids are large, intelligent Central American cichlids prized for their bold colors, personality, and presence in large aquariums. Native to river systems throughout Mexico and Central America, Vieja species are known for their thick bodies, strong jaws, and complex social behavior.
These fish are best suited for experienced cichlid keepers with appropriately sized aquariums. When raised properly, Vieja cichlids become highly interactive, recognizing their owners and displaying striking coloration as they mature.
All Vieja cichlids offered by Tilapia Store are farm-raised in Florida, not wild-caught, and are grown with long-term health and adaptability in mind.
