These Assorted Platies come in a mix of vibrant, tank-raised color varieties — including red, orange, yellow, tuxedo, wagtail, and sunset types. Peaceful, hardy, and active, they are an excellent choice for both beginners and experienced aquarists. These fish acclimate quickly, show excellent health, and thrive in planted and community aquariums.

Raised here in Florida at D&G Farms , our licensed aquaculture facility, these Platies are tank-bred (not imported), allowing them to ship exceptionally well. They are easy to feed, active swimmers, and perfect for community tanks.

Platies are one of the most popular community livebearers, and they pair well with Guppies, Endlers, Mollies, Swordtails, Corydoras, Tetras, Cherry Barbs, Rasboras , and other peaceful freshwater fish. Care Requirements

• Scientific Name: Domestic Xiphophorus platies, primarily X. maculatus strains
• Adult Size: usually about 2–3 inches; females grow larger
• Temperature: 72–78°F
• pH: 7.0–8.2
• Water Hardness: moderately hard to hard
• Tank Size: 20 gallons or larger for a group
• Temperament: Peaceful livebearer
• Setup: Use plants and gentle filtration, with a sponge guard if keeping fry.
• Diet: Quality flakes or small pellets with plant content plus suitable small frozen foods.
• Compatibility: Suitable with peaceful fish that tolerate the same hard water. Avoid predators and persistent fin-nippers.

Use a fully cycled aquarium, stable water conditions, and regular water changes. Plan space for the animals as they grow.

• Ships Mondays. Orders must be placed by Sunday night to ship Monday.
• Orders received after the Sunday-night cutoff ship the following Monday.
• Live animals are packed with oxygen in insulated boxes, with temperature protection as needed.
