The Sunset Honey Gourami (Trichogaster chuna) is a dwarf gourami selectively bred for rich golden-orange coloration. Males develop deep amber and red tones when in breeding condition, making them one of the most visually striking fish available for small community tanks. These are farm-raised at our facility in Florida — not wild-caught or imported.

Diet
Sunset Honey Gouramis accept most standard aquarium foods without issue. They do well on quality micro pellets or flake food as a staple, with occasional frozen or live foods like baby brine shrimp, daphnia, or micro worms. A varied diet helps maintain their best coloration.
Compatibility
These are genuinely peaceful fish and one of the safer gourami species for community setups. Good tankmates include small tetras, rasboras, corydoras, and dwarf shrimp. Avoid pairing them with fin-nippers or larger aggressive species. They do best in a planted tank with some surface cover and gentle flow.
Shipping
We ship live fish every Monday. Orders must be placed by Sunday night to ship that Monday. Fish are packed with oxygen and insulated for safe transit.

We guarantee live arrival on all fish orders. If fish arrive dead, you must contact us within 1 hour of the first delivery attempt with a clear photo of the fish inside the unopened bag.
