Care Requirements

• Adult Size: about 1.5–2 inches
• Temperature: 74–80°F
• pH: 6.0–7.5
• Water Hardness: soft to moderate
• Tank Size: 20 gallons or larger for a school
• Temperament: Peaceful schooling fish
• Setup: Provide planted borders and open water; keep eight to ten or more.
• Diet: Fine flakes, micro-pellets, and tiny frozen or live foods.
• Compatibility: Good with gentle small fish; avoid predators and boisterous fin-nippers.

Use a fully cycled aquarium, stable water conditions, and regular water changes. Plan space for the animals as they grow.
